Rendezvous: Marathon Training Week 10

Workouts

Monday: 4.15 mile run (13:32 pace)
Goal: 4 miles easy (13:30 - slower than normal easy due to the heat - about 85 degrees still at 8 pm)
Actual: 13:10, 14:07, 14:02, 12:58, 1:51 time for 0.15 (12:35 pace)

Tuesday: 1.5 mile run (12:10) 

Wednesday: Rest day

Thursday: 6.35 mile run (12:25 pace)
Goal: 6 miles, with fartlek speedwork
Actual: 12:24, 12:11, 12:19, 13:01, 12:55, 12:03, 4:00 time for 0.35 (11:20 pace)

Friday: 4.0 mile run (12:56 pace)
Goal: 3.5 miles easy (12:30 - 13:00)
Actual: 12:49, 13:18, 12:45, 12:50

Saturday: 11.0 mile run (14:50 pace)
Goal: 12 miles long/slow (13:30 - 14:00) - I actually had 16 on the schedule, but am studying for a final exam (last class for my masters degree!), so that had to take priority this weekend.
Actual: 
1 - 4: 13:40, 14:32, 14:51, 15:38
5 - 8: 14:53, 16:00, 15:07, 14:17
9 - 11: 15:20, 15:31, 13:27
I wasn't even trying to keep any kind of pace up, and took plenty of walking breaks. I just needed to get it over with. After this Wednesday my class will be done and I can just focus on training as my only real thing outside of work.

Sunday: Rest day - Abe and I drove up to Seattle to meet up with my parents for a Mariners' game!

Total miles: 27
